Rolfing® with Kat

At the start of each appointment Kat will check with you about how you're feeling and the reason(s) you booked your Rolfing® session. Based on your goals, Kat will work with you to assess relevant pain triggers, movement patterns, joint and muscular function, and adaptability before moving on to treatment. Treatment (i.e. table work) typically lasts for 60-70 minutes and includes a combination of hands-on manipulation paired with client-generated movement to improve both structure and function. Sessions end with a closing assessment to evaluate any changes and discuss options for movement practice and / or future treatment plans. For many people, the changes felt during a session are instant. For others, the work percolates over the course of a few days.

Rolfing® Session Info

Session Duration

Rolfing® sessions are 75-minute bookings. Ahead of your first session, Kat will send an intake form (please be sure to to be complete it ahead of the session), as well as an email with directions to the clinic, reminders about attire and the current masking policy. Assuming that you arrive on time and that your intake form is complete, time on the table is typically 60-70 minutes of the 75-minute session.

Session Pricing & Payment

Rolfing® sessions cost $170. Payment is due at the time of service. Kat accepts credit cards, Venmo, checks, and cash payments.

Due to the costly realities of navigating insurance panels and reimbursement, Kat is not in network with any insurance providers, and does not accept insurance at this time. Rolfing® sessions may be covered by extended healthcare plans or healthcare spending accounts, but it is your responsibility to confirm coverage and to ask Kat for relevant documentation to submit for reimbursement after paying for your treatment.

As a fee-for-service provider that does not interact with the insurance system, Kat understands out of network insurance complexities, and offers a limited number of sliding scale sessions per month for folks experiencing income inequity or a period of hardship. If this is you, please contact Kat directly to discuss availability for a sliding scale session.

What to wear

Rolfing® requires clients to wear appropriate apparel so that the practitioner can access bare skin, perform assessments, and ask the client for movement at regular intervals throughout the session. For most, "appropriate attire" looks like loose shorts and a tank top or sports bra. Clients are welcome to de-layer to their undergarments if they'd prefer. The idea is to have all sensitive areas comfortably covered, with as much access to bare skin as possible - especially around the area of focus. A sheet will be available if needed for temperature and nervous system regulation.

Please reach out if you have questions about what to wear. My highest priority is your comfort.

How to Cancel a Session

You may cancel your appointment by clicking the link to cancel in your confirmation or reminder emails, or by contacting Kat directly (kat@katkocurek.com).

Please know that your appointment time is reserved just for you. Appointments cancelled or changed within 24 hours and missed appointments incur an $85 fee (50% of the cost of your service) due at the following session. Kat understands life happens and makes exceptions on a case-by-case basis. If you are running late for your appointment Kat will use the remaining time available for treatment, but your full $170 fee will still apply.

COVID-19 Policy

Kat's current COVID-19 policy allows clients the option to receive treatment with or without a mask on. Kat will remain masked for your session unless you agree upon another arrangement. The clinic space is furnished with two air purifiers that employ HEPA and UV-C technology to reduce airborne bacteria and viruses. Kat sanitizes the workspace between client sessions.

Kat asks that you do not come to the clinic if you have had a known COVID exposure in the last 5 days, or if you are experiencing COVID, cold, or flu-like symptoms. If you develop any symptoms ahead of your appointment or have had a known COVID exposure, please reschedule for a later date. The clinic is a safe space for our community to receive treatment, please act responsibly and do not come to the clinic if you may bring a virus with you. Kat promises to do the same.
