Meet Kat (she/her)

Welcome to my corner of the internet!
I'm so glad you're here.

Some things to know about me:

  • I've been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching yoga since 2017.

  • I discovered Rolfing® in 2015 when I sought treatment to help restore function to my feet. Needless to say, my life was transformed, and I opened my own Rolfing® practice in 2022.

  • A former competitive athlete, I've harnessed my love for movement into modalities that prioritize embodiment, exploration, and play.

  • I'm in constant relationship with questions about what it means to be embodied, and how our relationships with our bodies can resource us for this crazy thing we call life.

  • I am a "woo-averse" practitioner. My approach to my work is based on my thousands of hours of study in anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, nervous system science, and functional movement principles, as well as my own lived-experience with inhabiting an active, aging body. The more energetic realms are simply beyond my grasp cognitively and experientially, so I don't center them in my practice.

  • I am also a "modality-agnostic" practitioner. I have learned that the vast diversity of bodies and nervous systems in my community demand a vast diversity in approaches to care, and I have done enough self-work to let go of the expectation that my work is the right fit for everyone :) If you would like any referrals to other teachers or practitioners, I have built an amazing network of folks who I would be happy to introduce you to (yoga teachers, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, somatic therapists, personal trainers, and beyond).

  • I have personal experience with abuse and trauma, and am a forever-student of trauma-informed principles—which I am committed to employing to support you in feeling safe and resourced in your body. If you ever feel that I'm not delivering in this regard, I warmly welcome your feedback, and I promise to move through earnest attempts to repair and reestablish trust with you.
